The Morning Dump 8.5.26
No app means this is manual beyond your wildest imagines. Imagine, dear Dumplings, I must navigate settings, in settings, inside the publications you can see, plus the 7-8 which I have hidden from my Substack, but somehow are still findable, which is funny, because every once in a while I’ll get a like on something I forgot I wrote while I was trying to get anything out into the world a year and a half ago.
Time flies!
Anyway, I woke up from dreams which were both eerie, somewhat frightening, and also delightful. I had a stalker. It was fine, though; he was supernatural, so that’s actually less frightening. And eventually we became friends, and it was an AI that saved me from people online. How weird is that? I also lived in a cottage in the woods, but not as a hermit, although it was very fairytale-esque.
Something else happened, but that has slipped away; there was someone else in the periphery and, oh well.
Because as soon as my brain started to actually enjoy the show instead of being in it, I began to analyze waht it meant, and then my brain moved onto the real world because connections between fiction and consciousness always pull me into the now. I made a list of connections I wanted to make today, and then I saw my ex had messaged me at 1 am, which is when I woke up to write notes, and so our parenting plan shifted. I will actually have time to act on things I wouldn’t have now. And since this weekend looks rainy, I have a plan.
Mostly offline, but still working. Locking myself up on Friday to write. First draft of Creature Theory is about 65% complete. I need to sit down now and just write the article, then plot the book itself.
Ramble, ramble.
Come watch.
Bye!
